Mount Moriah Wilderness Area

Mount Moriah Wilderness Area encompasses nearly 8,800 acres of primitive backcountry in Nevada, managed by the Bureau of Land Management as a federally protected Wilderness. This is genuine roadless country where motorized travel and mechanized transport are prohibited—a landscape reserved for those willing to travel on foot or horseback through undeveloped terrain.

The Wilderness offers hiking and backpacking as the primary ways to experience its remote character.
