Indian Mounds Wilderness

Indian Mounds Wilderness is a 12,224-acre federally designated Wilderness Area in Texas, managed by the Forest Service. The area preserves primitive backcountry where no roads, motorized vehicles, or mechanized travel are permitted. Visitors come here to experience true solitude and untrammeled landscape, away from development and infrastructure.
