Hurricane Creek Wilderness

Hurricane Creek Wilderness is a 15,333-acre federally protected Wilderness Area in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. It offers backcountry hiking and backpacking through primitive terrain where motorized travel, mechanized equipment, and built infrastructure are prohibited. Visitors come here for solitude and a genuine wilderness experience away from roads and development.

Access is foot-traffic only. All travel must be non-motorized, and Leave No Trace principles are essential—pack out what you pack in, camp responsibly, and respect the land's protected status. The wilderness character means minimal trail maintenance and no amenities; come prepared for self-sufficient backcountry travel.
