Government Peak Wilderness Area

Government Peak Wilderness Area is a 6,321-acre federally protected wilderness in Nevada managed by the Bureau of Land Management. This is primitive backcountry—no roads, motors, or mechanized travel are allowed. What you'll experience is genuine solitude in a non-motorized landscape, accessible only on foot or horseback.

Hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to explore the area.
