Glacier View Wilderness

Glacier View Wilderness is a 3,051-acre federally protected Wilderness Area in Washington, managed by the Forest Service. This is primitive backcountry where roads, motors, and mechanized travel are prohibited—the rules exist to preserve solitude and the land itself. Hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to experience it, and you'll be expected to practice Leave No Trace principles throughout your visit.

Access is on foot only, and seasonal conditions in the Cascades mean the area is most reliable in the warmer months. Winter snow can make travel difficult or impossible depending on elevation and aspect. Plan ahead, pack accordingly, and respect the wilderness designation by traveling lightly and leaving no trace.
