Charles C. Deam Wilderness

Charles C. Deam Wilderness is a 12,538-acre federally protected Wilderness Area in Indiana, managed by the Forest Service. The area offers primitive backcountry hiking and backpacking in a non-motorized setting where solitude and quiet are primary draws. No roads, motors, or mechanized travel are permitted—this is true wilderness where Leave No Trace principles are both essential and enforced.
