Bristol Cliffs Wilderness

Bristol Cliffs Wilderness is a 3,750-acre federally designated Wilderness Area in Vermont, managed by the Forest Service. It protects a primitive backcountry landscape where hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to explore—no roads, motors, or mechanized travel are permitted. The wilderness offers the kind of solitude and untrammeled character that comes with strict Wilderness protection; visitors must travel on foot and camp lightly, following Leave No Trace principles. Access is from trailheads outside the boundary, and the terrain is typical of Vermont's forested uplands.
