About Bridge Canyon Wilderness Area

Bridge Canyon Wilderness Area spans nearly 8,000 acres in Nevada as a federally designated Wilderness, managed by the National Park Service. The area offers primitive backcountry experience in a landscape shaped by canyon country and desert terrain. Hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to explore this non-motorized landscape, where solitude and undeveloped terrain define the experience.

Visiting requires acceptance of Wilderness rules: no roads, no motorized travel, no mechanized equipment. All use must be non-motorized and foot-powered. Leave No Trace principles are essential—pack out what you pack in, camp responsibly, and travel lightly on the land. Access is foot-traffic only, and the remote character means self-sufficiency is mandatory. Check with the National Park Service for current conditions, water availability, and any access restrictions before planning your trip.
