Becky Peak Wilderness Area

Becky Peak Wilderness Area spans 18,186 acres in Nevada and is managed by the Bureau of Land Management as a federally designated Wilderness. This is primitive backcountry terrain where motorized and mechanized travel are prohibited—the wilderness is open to foot traffic and non-motorized recreation only.

The area offers hiking and backpacking in a true wilderness setting where solitude and Leave No Trace principles are central to the experience. Visitors should come prepared for self-sufficient travel with no developed facilities, marked trails, or services. Access typically requires high-clearance vehicles to reach trailheads, and seasonal conditions—snow and weather—can affect passability.

Because this is a federally protected Wilderness, pack out all waste, camp away from water sources, and travel quietly to preserve the backcountry character. The remote location and lack of infrastructure mean you must be experienced in wilderness navigation and self-rescue. Spring and fall offer the most moderate conditions; summer heat and winter snow present distinct challenges depending on elevation and exposure.
