Suicide Point is a climbing area in Wyoming on Bureau of Land Management land within the Lander Field Office. The name draws attention to the sharp, high-angle terrain, and the routes here range from sport climbing at 5.9 up to 5.12d, with one traditional route, Apocalyptic Lapse Rate, at 5.9. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Atlantic City show July highs around 78°F with lows near 43°F, though that station sits roughly 1,500 feet lower, so temperatures on the crag run cooler. The area has seven routes, with six in sport and one in trad. The hardest is Stormbringer at 5.12d. Apocalyptic Lapse Rate is the only traditional route. Painless, a sport route at 5.9, is another of the easier options. Baldwin Creek, a climbing area about a mile away, and Cony Pass, a hike about 2.3 miles off, are the closest neighbors. Paddlers can reach the Middle Popo Agie River about 5 miles away, and Dickinson Creek Campground sits roughly 6.5 miles out.
