Sphinx Sector is a climbing area in the Powder River Ranger District of Bighorn National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits within the Bighorn National Forest, about 0.1 mile from the Sphinx Wall and Sector Shinto climbing areas, which makes it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding rock. The area holds one sport route, Out of Africa, which is graded 5.12- on the YDS scale. That single route gives climbers a clear objective in the sector, and its sport style suits those who prefer bolted lines. Boulder Park Campground is about 1.3 miles away, and Willow Park Group Campground is about 2.8 miles away, both good options for an overnight stay. For time on foot, Pasture Park and Leigh Cabin are about 4.2 miles off, and paddlers can head to Tensleep Creek, roughly 6.2 miles away.
