Moss Cave & Face Dancer is a climbing area in the Washakie Ranger District of Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits close to Sinks Canyon Campground and the Purple Galaxy climbing area, which make it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding canyon country. The climbing here is all sport, and the area holds 19 routes that range from 5.5 up to 5.14b. Several of the named routes are known for their style and grade, including No More Heroes at 5.10c, Fallen Idol at 5.11a, and The Travelling Menagerie at 5.14b. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July highs reach about 78°F with lows near 43°F, according to averages from the nearby Atlantic City weather station. Winters are cold, with January highs around 30°F and lows near 1°F. Sinks Canyon Campground and Hugh Otte campground are both within a mile, and the Popo Agie Nature Trail is about 0.8 miles away.
