Lankin Dome is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Lander Field Office of Wyoming, about 13 miles from the town of Lander. It sits among several other climbing areas, which makes it easy to pair with a second objective on the same outing. The area holds 10 routes, most of them traditional climbs with grades ranging from 5.6 to 5.11c. Nine of the routes are trad, and one is sport. The hardest is Red Nations at 5.11c, first climbed by Greg Collins and Sue Miller in 1999. The easiest is Running Out of Blow at 5.6, with a first ascent in 2016 by Nadiak and Herder. The Moonstone lies about 2.4 miles away, and Cranner Rock North Aspect and Sweetwater Rocks are each roughly 4 miles off. Climbers looking for a change from the crags can head about 5 miles to the Oregon Trail.
