Highway 14a Pinnacles is a climbing area in Wyoming's Bighorn National Forest, within the Tongue Ranger District. The land is managed by the Forest Service, and the pinnacles themselves are the anchor for a cluster of five traditional routes, all rated between 5.7 and 5.9+ on the YDS scale. The most comfortable months for a visit are July and August, when typical highs reach about 70°F and lows sit around 40°F, based on averages from the Burgess Junction weather station about 5 miles away. Winter is far colder, with January highs near 30°F. The route list includes Cupid's Chubby Cucumber and The Rocky Mountain Oyster at 5.7, Bowman Route at 5.8, Zeus's Zucchini at 5.9 and The Bullhorn at 5.9+. Climbers looking for more can head to Bear Rocks, about 6.5 miles away, or Coyote Rocks, about 6.9 miles away. For an overnight stay, North Tongue campground is about 4.7 miles off.
