City of Gold is a sport climbing area in the Powder River Ranger District of Bighorn National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with The Ark about half a mile away and Mecca about 0.6 miles off, making it easy to pair with those areas on a single visit. The area holds 12 sport routes, with grades ranging from 5.9+ to 5.13b. The median grade is 5.10d, and the hardest route is Third Intafada at 5.13b. Aaron Huey is the first ascent listed for several of the routes, including Moms in Mythos (5.9+) and Tears and Bubblegum (5.11d), while Nick Martino's 2010 ascent of Third Intafada is the highest grade in the list. For a longer outing, Boulder Park Campground and the Leigh Cabin hike are both about 2.5 miles away. Lake View Campground is roughly 3.3 miles off.
