Cabin Cr is an easy, short out-and-back hike in the Wapiti Ranger District of Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. The trail starts at Cabin Creek Trailhead and runs about 3 miles round trip, with a low point of 6,505 feet and a high of 6,579 feet. It gains about 200 feet in elevation over the course of the trip. The trail is accessible and has a natural surface, and horses are allowed. The Forest Service lists it as accessible. The closest town is Cody, about 19 miles away, and the trail is open year-round. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Cody put July highs around 84°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay in the low 40s.
