West Side is a climbing area in High Cliff State Park in Wisconsin, on land managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits within the park alongside several other climbing areas, which makes it easy to pair with neighboring walls on the same visit. For comfortable climbing weather, late spring through early fall is the best window. Typical averages from the nearby Chilton weather station show highs around 67°F in May and 73°F in September, with July the warmest month at about 82°F. Winters there are cold, with January highs averaging 26°F. The Stairs and Tower Areas lie just 0.1 mile away, and Aimless, The Black Pearl and North Side are all within a mile. Off the rock, Darboy Park Trail is about 5.6 miles away, and the North Branch Manitowoc River offers canoeing roughly 6.5 miles out.
