About

Holt's Landing is a boat launch in northern Wisconsin, about 6 miles from the town of Butternut. It serves as a put-in for getting a boat onto the water in this part of the state. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical July highs reach about 78°F with lows near 56°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station at Park Falls. Winters are cold, with January highs around 20°F. Several other outdoor spots lie within a short drive. The Flambeau River, about 6 miles away, offers more paddling. East Hay Creek C Hwt and Tracy Creek Hwt are both hikes within about 6 miles. For lake fishing, the Medford - Park Falls District is roughly 7 miles off.
