Rockport is a 636-acre state park in Washington, managed by the state park agency. It sits less than a mile from the town of Rockport, making it an easy stop for anyone already in the area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. At a weather station about 7 miles away, typical July and August highs run in the mid-70s with lows in the low 50s, and those months average only six or seven wet days compared with around 20 through much of the winter. Several short trails start right around the park, including Fern Creek Trail and Evergreen Trail, with Skagit View Trail and Sauk Springs Trail less than half a mile out. For paddling, Finney Creek is about 7 miles away.
