Upper Jack's is a short, easy cross-country ski route in the Methow Valley Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington, managed by the Forest Service. The out-and-back trip covers about 1.4 miles, with a low point of 2,262 feet and a high of 2,297 feet, so the climb is minimal at just 32 feet of elevation gain. The route is best suited to winter, when the Methow Valley sees its coldest and most settled weather. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mazama show January highs around 29°F with lows near 16°F, while June runs warmer at about 75°F. The station sits a few hundred feet lower than the route, so temperatures on the trail run slightly cooler. Cassal Cutoff, a hike, starts just 0.1 mile away, and Jack's, another cross-country ski route, is about 0.4 mile off. Goat Wall, a climbing area, is roughly 1.1 miles away, and Early Winters Campground is about 1.9 miles away.
