Jigsaw Left is a climbing area in Washington's Columbia Basin Wildlife Area Complex, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits among a cluster of named climbing areas, including Jigsaw Right and Bickerson Cove, all within about a tenth of a mile of one another. The climbing here is mostly sport, with 11 sport routes and one trad route, You Don't Need No PhD, which was first climbed in October 1997. The YDS grades run from 5.10b to 5.12b, with the median around 5.11b. Notable routes include Jigsaw Direct at 5.10b and Appassionata Sonata at 5.12b. For timing, late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable. Typical averages from the Quincy weather station, about 15 miles away, show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 78°F, while July and August average highs near 87°F. The Ridge Trail lies about 6 miles away for a hike nearby.
