The Chunkyard is a climbing area in the Naches Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, within the Oak Creek Wildlife Area Complex in Washington. The land is managed by State Fish and Wildlife, and the area sits about 0.1 mile from Rainbow Rocks, another climbing spot. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yakima show May highs around 74°F and September highs near 79°F, while July and August average about 88°F. That station sits roughly 1,300 feet lower than the Chunkyard, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. Mark's Wall is about 0.8 mile away.
