Cereal Boulder is a bouldering area in Washington's Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, within the Skykomish Ranger District. The land is managed by the State Department of Natural Resources, and the closest town is Startup, about 4.5 miles away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes ranging from V2- to V6. Two of the most notable are Zodiac, a V5+, and Frosted Flake, a V6. The V2- routes Extra Serving and Honey Bunches of Goats are easier options for those new to the area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. July and August typically reach highs around 78°F with only about seven wet days a month, based on averages from a nearby weather station. That station sits about 500 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up here run cooler. Several other climbing areas and trails are close by. Yonko Boulder and the Grand Line Boulders are each about half a mile away, and the Lake Isabel Trail starts just 0.3 miles off. For an overnight stay, Camp Huston is about 2.7 miles away.
