Bouldering is a bouldering area in Washington's Fisk Property state park, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with The Hood, Dishonorable Wall and Crisis Wall all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with nine routes spread across the area. Grades run from V2-3 up to V9, and the hardest of them, Epic Arete, is a V9. The Sunshine Wall Area is the easiest, at V2-3, and Party Rock and Flushing a Dead Rooster are both V4-5. Scarlett Johansson, a V5-6, was first climbed by Alex Rice, and Middle Finger of Fury, a V6, was first climbed by Pete Arden. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Spokane show July and August highs around 83°F with only three or four wet days a month, while winter highs stay near freezing. That station sits about 600 feet lower than the bouldering area, so temperatures up here run a little cooler.
