It is an out-and-back ride of about 1.3 miles, with a total elevation gain of 252 feet, and it sits at roughly 2,400 feet, making it a low-elevation option for a quick lap on a network of trails in the area. The climb is steady, with the steepest stretch at about 0.3 miles in, where the grade reaches about 6 percent. The route starts near 2,437 feet and reaches a high point of about 2,442 feet before returning to the starting elevation. The closest neighbor is Gotcha, a mountain biking spot about 0.1 mile away, and Rainier Vista lies about 0.9 mile off. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Longmire show July and August highs in the mid-70s with only seven or eight wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days from December through February.
