Leech Lake is a fishing lake in Washington's Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, within the Naches Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the lake sits about 0.2 miles from White Pass Lake (Leech Lake) Campground, making the campground the natural base for a visit. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. July and August typically reach highs around 62 to 64°F with lows in the mid-40s, based on averages from a nearby weather station at Rainier Paradise. That station sits about 1,000 feet lower than the lake, so expect temperatures at the lake to run cooler. Dark Meadows Trail #1107 and the Cramer Lake hike both start about 1.5 miles away, and Dog Lake Campground is about the same distance. Farther afield, the Clear Fork Cowlitz River offers canoeing about 4.8 miles off.
