Westport Beaches
About
Westport Beaches is a public ocean beach on the Washington coast, about a mile from the community of Cohassett Beach. Swimming is allowed, and there is no fee to visit. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Grayland weather station show highs of about 66 to 67°F from July through September, with roughly 10 to 11 wet days a month, compared with highs near 48 to 49°F and more than 20 wet days a month in December and January. Shifting Sands Natural Trail is about 1.4 miles away, and Bottle Beach Interpretive Trail is about 3.5 miles off. For paddling, Elk River and Johns River are both within about 9 miles.
