Olalla Boat Launch
About
Olalla Boat Launch is a public ocean beach in Washington, about 3.3 miles from the town of Maplewood. It's a simple put-in spot with no fee to use, but swimming is not allowed here, so plan on time on the water rather than in the surf. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 76°F with only four or five wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on 20 or more days. Several short hikes sit close by. Anderson Point Park Trail is about a mile away, and Craig's Trail and Borrow Pit Loop are each roughly 2 miles off. Climbers can head to Point Defiance Park, about 8 miles away.
