Lakeview Spur is a short mountain biking route in Pocahontas State Park in Virginia, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It's a 1.5-mile out-and-back that rises about 34 feet from a low point of 149 feet to a high of 208 feet, which makes it an easy addition to a longer ride or a quick stop in the park. For comfortable weather, aim for spring or fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Petersburg put October highs around 72°F with lows near 48°F, and April runs similar at about 70°F by day and 46°F at night. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the trail may run a little cooler. The trail is close to other rides and hikes. Lakeview I Loop and the Powhatan Trail are each about 0.2 miles away, and the Co-Op Trail and Beaver Lake Trail are within half a mile.
