Ethan Allen Wall is a climbing area in Ethan Allen Park in Vermont, on city land. The park holds several climbing spots within a short distance, so this is a compact cluster for climbers rather than a single route. The closest of these is Hillside Boulders, about 0.1 mile away. The area has 10 routes, eight of them top rope and two boulders. The grades range from 5.7 to 5.11c on the YDS scale, with EvanEssence at 5.10c and Balls Out at 5.11c as the top picks. The boulders sit at V0-. For timing, late spring through early fall is the most comfortable stretch. Typical averages from the nearby Burlington airport weather station show highs around 69°F in May and 73°F in September, while July runs about 82°F. Snow is common from December through March, with January highs near 29°F. The Holy Trinity Trail and Sunset Ridge Trail are both within about a mile for a walk after climbing, and the Lake Champlain Circumnavigation is roughly 6.5 miles away for paddlers.
