Summit

North Peak

Utah

About

North Peak is a summit in Utah's Mount Nebo Wilderness, within the Spanish Fork Ranger District of Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The closest town is Mona, about 6 miles away, which makes it the natural jumping-off point for a trip into this part of the forest. Because the peak sits inside a designated wilderness, it lies within a larger protected landscape managed by the Spanish Fork Ranger District. The district office is the place to confirm current access before heading out. The peak is part of a cluster of named routes on the north side of the Nebo massif, with trails close enough that a visit here can easily combine with time on neighboring paths. The North Peak Trail lies about 0.3 miles away, and the Nebo Peak North Trail is about 1.6 miles off. For an overnight base, Bear Canyon Campground sits roughly 4 miles away, and climbers can find Strawberry Fields Wall at a similar distance.
