Roadside Boulder is a bouldering area in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, within the Salt Lake Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the climbing sits about 0.1 mile from Eagle Buttress and Environs and Temple Quarry, both climbing areas, as well as the Alpenbock Spur mountain biking trail. The climbing here is all bouldering, with eight routes ranging from V0 to V4 on the V scale. The easiest is Arete at V0, and the hardest is Ford Fairmont Futura at V4. Shothole Number One is V2, and Roadside Arete is also V4. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Cottonwood Weir show May highs around 71°F and September highs near 79°F, while July highs average about 91°F. Tanners Flat Campground is about 4 miles away, and Lake Lillian and Lake Florence are each roughly 4.7 miles off. Mountain Shadows RV Park lies about 7.3 miles away.
