The Great Divide is a bouldering area in the Twin Peaks Wilderness, part of the Salt Lake Ranger District of Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within designated wilderness, so it is a backcountry destination rather than a developed one. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the grade range runs from V4 to V10-. Among the routes are Gail Force Sunshine and Set Adrift at V4, Plata o Plomo at V5, and The Great Divide at V10-, which Johnny Landry first climbed. The closest climbing neighbors are White Pine TH and Crimpin Connies, both about 0.1 mile away. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Alta weather station, about 2.5 miles away, show July highs around 73°F and lows near 50°F, with fewer wet days than the rest of the year. For overnight stays, Tanners Flat Campground is about 1.1 miles away and Albion Basin is about 3.7 miles away. Lake Lillian and Lake Blanche, both about 2 miles out, offer fishing.
