Sovereign Trail (Upper)

Sovereign Trail (Upper) is a short, hard mountain biking route in Utah on state forest, fire and state lands within Sovereign Lands 8, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail is an out-and-back, about 0.4 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 28 feet, so the climb is minimal, but the route is still rated hard. The most comfortable months for a ride are typically spring and fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 68°F, while July averages a high of 96°F. The route starts close to other trails. Brushy Mountain Trail and Cedar Mountain Trail are both about 0.1 mile away. Fallen Officer Trail is about 0.9 mile off, and Courthouse Rock Campground is about 1.4 miles away for an overnight stay.
