Butterfly Lake is a short mountain biking loop in the Evanston-Mountain View Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The nearest town is the Christmas Meadow Summer Home Area, about 8 miles away. The route is a loop of about 0.6 miles, with a total elevation gain of 14 feet. It starts and ends at roughly 10,325 feet, with the high point at about 10,355 feet. The climb is minimal, so the ride is easy to fit into a longer day on the trail network. The Uinta Highline Trail and the Highline Spur are both about 0.2 miles away, and the Green Meadow Crags climbing area is about 0.6 miles off. For an overnight stay, Moosehorn campground is about 2.4 miles away.
