Wing Flat Road is a hard hike in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, within the Spanish Fork Ranger District. The route is an out-and-back that covers about 11.5 miles, with a total elevation gain of 1,611 feet. The climb starts at a low point of 7,048 feet and reaches a high of 8,465 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the hike is a long, steep outing. Plan on a full day, with time to rest and take in the views at the top. Wheeler Fork lies about 1.5 miles away, and Soldier Bench Trail is about 2.4 miles off. Lodge Pole Campground, about 5.4 miles away, offers a place to stay, and Left Fork Hobble Creek, about 5.9 miles away, is a paddling option.
