Wide Canyon is an easy hike of about 2.6 miles on natural trail in the Logan Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is an out-and-back that gains about 525 feet in elevation, from a low of about 4,783 feet to a high of about 5,326 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 67°F and September highs around 76°F, while July averages about 88°F and winter brings frequent snow days. Horses are allowed on the trail. Narrow Canyon sits just 0.1 mile away, and Pine Canyon is about 2.5 miles off. Paddlers can head to the Little Bear River, about 3 miles away, and climbers will find the Little Prints Wall about 8 miles out.
