Spoon Trail is a short, easy hike in the Cedar City Ranger District of Dixie National Forest in southern Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The out-and-back route covers about 2.1 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 375 feet, rising from roughly 8,919 feet to about 9,315 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Brian Head weather station run to highs around 71°F in July and 68°F in August, while winter highs there stay near freezing. The trail is on natural surface and is open to bikes. Mud Springs ATV Trail is about 1.6 miles away, and Haycock Creek Trail is about 2.4 miles away. Panguitch Lake, about 3.1 miles off, offers fishing, and Panguitch Lake North campground sits about 3.7 miles away.
