Silver Reef is an easy hike in southern Utah, on Bureau of Land Management land within the St. George Field Office. The route is short, about 0.2 miles long, and rises only about 130 feet from its low point at roughly 3,226 feet to a high of about 3,391 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby La Verkin weather station put April highs around 73°F and October highs around 76°F, while July averages near 98°F and January highs sit around 52°F. Red Cliffs Campground is about 0.2 miles away. The Anasazi and Quail Creek hikes are each about 0.3 miles off, and Red Reef East is about 0.6 miles away.
