Pig Hole is a moderate out-and-back hike of about 4.2 miles in the Logan Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 1,073 feet from a low point of 5,657 feet to a high of 6,740 feet, and it's a natural-surface route open to both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Laketown weather station show July highs around 81°F with lows near 51°F, and September still runs in the low 70s. Winter there brings highs in the low 30s and several snowy days each month from December through February. Several other destinations sit close by. Boar Hole and Sow Hole are both within a third of a mile, Hardware Wall is about half a mile away, and Spring Campground is roughly 1.3 miles off.
