Campground
Moose Camp is an easy out-and-back hike of about 2.7 miles in Utah, set within the Toll Canyon area on regional agency land. The route rises from a low point of 7,212 feet to a high of 7,605 feet, with an elevation gain of about 338 feet one way. It pairs easily with other short outings in the same corner of the canyon. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station in Park City run to a high of 80°F and a low of 53°F, and the station sits roughly 700 feet lower than the hike's high point, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Winters there are cold, with typical January highs around 33°F. Two other hikes, Hoof It and No Worries, start within half a mile. Red Pine Lake, about 4.4 miles away, offers fishing, and the Wasatch Back climbing area is about 5 miles off.
