Happy Camper is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Wasatch Mountain State Park in Utah, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is about 1.4 miles long, with a low point of 5,902 feet and a high of 6,095 feet, and it gains about 180 feet of elevation. It makes a quick addition to a day spent exploring the park. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at a similar elevation show July highs around 88°F with lows near 47°F, while September cools to highs around 75°F. Winters are cold, with January highs in the mid-30s. The Phosphate and The Face hikes both start within a quarter mile, so it's easy to pair them together. Rock Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 3.4 miles away, and Jordanelle State Park McHenry Campground is about 5.6 miles off for an overnight stay.
