The Four Lake Basin Loop is an easy out-and-back hike in the High Uintas Wilderness, part of the Duchesne Ranger District of Ashley National Forest in northeastern Utah. The trail runs about 2.2 miles, with a high point of 10,713 feet and a low point of 10,506 feet, making the climb roughly 197 feet one way. The route is open year-round and is managed by the Forest Service. It is a natural-surface trail, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. The closest neighbors are the Hades-Rocky Sea Pass Trail, about half a mile away, and the Cyclone Pass route, under a mile off. Carolyn Lake, about 1.3 miles away, offers fishing, and the Uinta Mountains climbing area lies about 2.7 miles from the loop.
