Cold Water is an easy out-and-back hike in the Ogden Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah, about 2.4 miles long with a one-way climb of 854 feet. The trail starts at roughly 4,800 feet and reaches about 5,680 feet at the high point. The route is on natural surface, and it is open to both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Pineview Dam weather station show July highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. That station sits about 740 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures up top run cooler. Indian Trail lies about 0.4 miles away, and Hole in the Rock and Utah Wall are climbing areas within a mile. Maples Campground is about 2 miles off.
