Battle Creek is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Pleasant Grove Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah. The trail runs about 4.5 miles, with a total elevation gain of 2,038 feet, taking you from a low point of about 5,269 feet to a high of about 7,320 feet. The route is on natural surface, and both horses and bikes are allowed. The trail is open from April 1 to November 30, and the most comfortable stretch for a visit is typically late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Sundance, which sits about 700 feet lower than the trail's high point, run from highs around 62°F in May to about 81°F in July, with September easing back to around 68°F. The Battle Creek Trail and the Bonneville Shoreline Trail both lie about 0.4 miles away. Climbers can head to Dry Canyon and Mammoth Wall, roughly 1.9 miles off.
