Sunrise Campground is a Forest Service site in the Logan Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah. It sits within the national forest's recreation infrastructure, and the nearest town is Bear Lake, about 23 miles away. The campground is a base for exploring the surrounding trails and climbing areas. Vault toilets are the only facility on site, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Randolph weather station, which sits about 1,300 feet lower, run to highs around 82°F in July with lows near 46°F. Winters are cold, with January highs averaging about 28°F. East Hodges Canyon and the East Hodges Canyon Trail are both about a mile away, and Stump Hollow Trail is about 3 miles off. For more climbing, the Bear Lake Area is roughly 3 miles from the campground.
