Hoop Lake is a Forest Service campground in the Evanston-Mountain View Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah. The nearest town is Evanston, and the surrounding area is a mix of hiking, mountain biking and fishing. The campground has vault toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Moon Lake weather station show July and August highs around 77°F with lows near 48°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. Several trails and waterways sit close by. Kabell Meadows Trail and the Kabell Meadows mountain biking area are each about half a mile away, and Burnt Ridge Trail is about 0.6 miles off. Burnt Fork, a river fishing spot, is roughly 2.3 miles away.
