Box Elder Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Logan Ranger District of Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, about 5 miles from Brigham City, Utah. It sits beside the town of Mantua and Mantua Reservoir in a mountain valley, making it an easy base for boating, fishing and exploring area trails. The campground has flush toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. For a comfortable visit, late spring and early fall work well: typical averages from a nearby weather station at Eden-Liberty put May highs around 66°F and September highs around 76°F. Several trails start close by, including the Mantua Reservoir Trail about 0.8 mile away and the Covenant Path at about a mile. The Knoll Trail and Boardwalk Trail are each roughly 1.7 miles off.
