Hog's Back Caves is a bouldering area in the Belton Recreation Area in Texas, managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Little New Wall, Rogers Park and The Pit (Aka Trash Can Wall) all about 0.2 miles away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with nine routes spread across the V2 to V7 range. The hardest of them is Buckshot at V7, first climbed by Blaine Burris, Chris Vinson and Merrick Ales. Jackson's V5 is a V4, and Honey on Bread is a V5. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Stillhouse Hollow Dam weather station, about 9 miles away, show April highs near 78°F and October highs near 81°F, while July and August average around 95°F. Other climbing areas close by include Billiards Wall at 0.3 miles and Morgan's Point at 1.5 miles.
