The Beach is a climbing area in Tennessee, about half a mile from the town of Knollwood. It sits close to several other climbing areas, with High Water Wall, The Orchard and The Dynamic Wall all within about 0.1 mile. That makes it an easy place to pair with other crags in the area. The climbing here is mostly sport, with two traditional routes. The route grades run from 5.4 up to 5.12b, so there is something for climbers of all levels. Stahlschmidt Warm Up is the easiest at 5.4, and The Nagual is the hardest at 5.12b. Pretty on Video at 5.10b and Big Guns of Navarone at 5.11b/c are two of the more popular options. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Clarksville show October highs around 72°F with lows near 47°F, while July and August average highs of 89°F. For a change of pace, the Bluebird Trail is about 2.5 miles away, and the Red Cedar Trail and White Oak Trail are both within 3 miles.
